Amber ale

ABV 5.6%  |  IBU 25  |  SRM 13.2

If the hops and malt of this Amber Ale were on either end of a see-saw; it would sit at a standstill parallel with the ground. With a blend of German Tradition hops and American Willamette hops, there is just enough hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma to make keep your nose and taste buds wanting more. A combination of 5 different malts give this beer a hint of caramel sweetness, a splash of breadiness, and just the right amount of character to make this simple style wanting your taste buds to do The Waltz.

OCCASION
As Carol King once eloquently put it “Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, all you have to do is pour yourself a City Lights Amber Ale.” That’s how I remember that song at least. A year-round pleaser best shared with a few friends.

FOOD PAIRING
The world is your oyster with this beer; coincidentally with a touch of horseradish and cocktail sauce this Amber Ale is a great pair for oysters. Also goes well with a wide range (free range of course) of chicken dishes, smoked meats, and burgers. Let’s not forget bacon either.

AVAILABILITY
6 pack / 12 oz cans and on draft.

Mosaic Pale Ale

This beer is all about the hops. The Craft Master Tumbler was made to accentuate the aroma and flavor of hops. Other glasses will certainly deliver the beer to your mouth; but this glass will do it in style while enhancing the entire experience.

mosaic PALE ALE

ABV 5.3%  |  IBU 39  |  SRM 6.5

This powerful version of a mid-western pale ale sweeps the palate with mango, lemon, citrus, tropical fruit and stone fruit. This multitude of flavor sinks deep into the taste buds, briefly clinging to the roof of the mouth which enlivens the palate and adds zest. Flowery citrus notes dominate by mid-serving, masterfully integrating with the patina of delicate bitterness that finishes with a 5.3 ABV smoothness. The palate cleansing hop character comes courtesy of Mosaic and Ekuanot hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. A knockout, clean and forcefully unique pale ale that will keep you coming back for more!

OCCASION
Our Brewmaster’s favorite beer. With a well-balanced yet hop-forward flavor profile this is a great thirst quencher that can be enjoyed in the cold winter months or sitting in the beer garden under the summer sun.

FOOD PAIRING
Great with a ride range of foods. Grilled meats, mild cheeses, light curry, and carrot cake. Maybe chase some bacon down with it.

Coconut Porter

Dark, decadent, and extremely balanced; this beer certainly needs a glass that does it justice. We like to enjoy this one out of our Belgian Goblet. A well-rounded glass for a well-rounded beer.

COCONUT PORTER

ABV 5.3%  |  IBU 35  |  SRM 45

This Coconut Porter’s bright, pleasing malt character is cradled in a soft, cushiony and smooth mouthfeel that easily glides down the throat with each swallow. Lip-smacking hints of coffee and chocolate readily move across the tongue as the dark body gives up its aromatic coconut roastedness. Northern Brewer and Willamette hops provide a mellow treat. Most fully enjoyed slowly from a City Lights goblet glass which allows the emerging and progressive nutty aspect of this coconut porter to take center-stage at mid-palate. Well-rounded and bursting with flavor, the flavor integrity is maintained until the very end as the exceptional smoothness finishes with a malty expresso finish. The hazy black body gives picturesque support to the ivory-colored foam. At about 5.3 ABV, City Lights Coconut Porter is a fine sessionable libation for any time of the year!

OCCASION
An untimely request by taproom patrons for a heavy porter right before the hot summer birthed this wonderful beer. In an effort to “summarize” a porter, we made this lighter in body and roast, and with a whole lot of coconut and vanilla beans. An easy dark drinking beer for the summertime.

FOOD PAIRING
Smoked and barbecue meats, blackened fish, chocolate cake and coconut macaroons. Candied bacon.

IPA

ABV 7%  |  IBU 63  |  SRM 7.2

Centennial. Cascade. Citra. Amarillo. This American-style IPA is defined by citrus-forward hoppiness with a delightful aroma. At just over 7% ABV, intermingling flavors permeate the senses and provide a lingering and caressing mouthfeel. At circa 63 IBUs; hop additions are artfully balanced with many late additions to offer a beautiful aroma and hop forward flavor that is just right. Hops are balanced with an elegant use of 6 different specialty malts to masterfully round out the beer.
