Greetings,

Jimmy the Brewmaster and our Chief Innovation Officer Dr. David Ryder are collaborating on a new brew which promises to be as spectacular as our flagship Coconut Porter. The City Lights brewing magic continues with the release of the recently tweaked American Pale Ale. I know I am biased, but the City Lights American Pale Ale is my favorite of favorites. Look for it in 4-pack, 16-ounce cans at select retailers.

I recently hired an environmentally conscious person as server who only uses human powered transportation to get to City Lights. His first name is “Micycle” but I call him “Mike” for short.

Register here for the Ultimate Beer Run: https://endurance.active.com/CityLightsBrewingCompany0#/active/endurance/event/setup/eventSummary?e=46468353&_nid=12127473 The proceeds benefit Menomonee River Partners and you will experience a unique fun run accompanied by cheek-busting laughter while you enjoy some delicious beers from City Lights and our good friends at Third Space Brewing Company.

There is an incredible array of entertainment and hospitality options in Milwaukee. The entire team at City Lights is profoundly proud that so many of you have chosen to spend time with us during this busy summer season. We will continue to work with a zealous passion to earn the privilege of your business.

And while we’re focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience at City Lights, the Frank Beverage team is tirelessly working to ensure your favorite City Lights beer will be available at your favorite tavern, store or restaurant in Madison, La Crosse and surrounding areas. Thanks to Mike Frank, Steve Wheeler and their squad of dedicated men and women with whom we are honored to call “partners.”

Friday night, the amazing “Swing and A Miss” returns to the stage for a performance that will be sure to delight all. And on Saturday it is local favorite Tom Mahan. Both performances start at 7PM.

Over the weekend, I was elected President and Most Valuable Member of “The Exaggerators Club.” That is quite a distinction as the club has over one billion members.

Mark your calendars as Pat McCurdy returns to City Lights for encore performances on 9/6 and 9/20. His recent performance was a high energy, fun-filled night.

And finally, our Firkin Friday celebrations are becoming epic! Each week we celebrate the release of a new Firkin which has been artfully and creatively crafted by our brewing team. To commemorate the tapping of the Firkin, last Friday Jimmy the Brewmaster and Ryan celebrated with a previously unnamed maneuver of jumping in the air, turning sideways and bumping into each other. There are high fives, fist bumps, handshakes and back slaps. I am designating the “jump, turn, contact” celebration as the “Bumpkin.” Hope to see you Friday at 3:30PM.

Have the best solar eclipse week since 1979 ever!
Robin
