Greetings,

This might be our most exciting week ever at City Lights!

In a recent article, “How to Plan the Ultimate Summer in Milwaukee,” City Lights was selected as the #1 beer experience in Milwaukee!  https://www.lemonade.com/blog/milwaukee-wisconsin-summer-city-guide/.  #Humbled. #Proud.

Today, our hometown nine host the Chicago Cubs. Join us pre-game for a beer and brat and then hop on our convenient, complimentary shuttle and watch the first game of a certain three-game sweep. Game time is 7:10PM. And wait, it gets better! Happy Hour is from 4-6PM. Our idyllic patio will be open and the warm rays of the June sun will kiss your face. Not too many things better than pairing great beer with Vitamin D therapy.

Toats McGoats is short for Totally McGoatally.

Tuesday, first pitch is at 7:10PM. Happy Hour begins at 4PM. How about $1.00 off Jimmy the Brewmaster’s incredible Hazy IPA? And thanks to the amazing Stacey and our good friends at Vibram, wear your FiveFingers and your first beer is free!

Wednesday’s sweep game is early – first pitch is at 1:10PM. We’ll be opening at 11AM for our thirsty and hungry friends. A delicious City Lights beer, lunch and the shuttle are great ways to celebrate hump day. After the game ends, Happy Hour begins.

Shhhh! Hear that? It is the sound of Jimmy’s Belgian Witt in the fermenter getting ready for Saturday’s release!

Be sure to join us Thursday for Happy Hour and $1 off all beers and each food order. There’s nothing quite like an early kick-off to the weekend than lounging on the City Lights patio on a summer evening with the warm glow of our Italian Wedding Lights illuminating the night’s sky. Thursday is also the start of the US Open.  E-mail me the names of three golfers who you think will be there at the close of the Open. If you chose the winning golfer, you will be awarded 9 points. If you chose the second-place golfer, you will be awarded 7 points. If you chose the third-place golfer, you will be awarded 5 points. Most points wins a $250.00 City Lights gift card.

Friday the Phillies are in town. First pitch is at 7:10PM. We open at noon for lunch.

Because I love you.  I am going to plan the ULIMATE SATURDAY for you. As you know, our tradition of the “Blessing of the Beer” is one of the coolest things that has happened to beer since Prohibition.  This Saturday, plan on being at City Lights at 1PM. Our own Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. David Ryder, will regale you with the story and the description of Jimmy the Brewmasters’ Belgian Witt. Pastor Dexter Price and his Voices of Faith Gospel Choir will bless the Belgian Witt. Regardless of your religious affiliation or lack thereof, Pastor Price and the Voices of Faith have one of the most energetic, entertaining and engaging sets in the music industry.  After your toes stop tapping and your hands stop clapping, grab a delicious City Lights Belgian Witt and order a sumptuous burger, brat or chicken sandwich. Then hop on the shuttle prior to the 3:10PM game versus the Phillies. After the Brewers win, head back to City Lights and take in the wonderment of Derek Byrnes and his mates from Paddygrass https://www.paddygrass.com/ when they take to the stage at 7PM. Send some virtual vibes to Derek and he promises to wear his kilt as he entertains you with some kick-ass Celtic and Bluegrass music. How’s that for your best Saturday ever? Big love to you from me.

The week wraps up (or the next one kicks off) on Sunday when our first-placers take on the Phillies at 1:10PM. We’ll open at 11AM and promise the beer will be cold, the smiles warm and the food hot. Is our Hazy IPA the perfect complement to a Lazy Sunday afternoon?  Or is it the crisp and refreshing Mexican Lager? Some would argue that Coconut Porter is the contrarian’s choice.  Sunday is also Father’s Day. First beer for Dad is free on Sunday. (P.S. - Your dad told me he has all the ties he’ll ever need, his aftershave is solid and his coffee cup game is on-point.)What he really wants is a City Lights gift card. (And I specially priced them through Sunday, so you can save on a gift you know will never be re-gifted.)

Our hospitality team knows how many entertainment options there are in Milwaukee. We are grateful, appreciative and excited that so many have chosen to spend time at City Lights. We pledge to continually earn the privilege of your business with a blend of passion, zeal and gemtűlichkeit.

Our Minnesota and Chicago-land distributors have been working incredibly hard to secure retail distribution and on-premise placements so our friends in our neighboring states can enjoy the City Lights goodness that is becoming ever-more so available in Wisconsin. I am overwhelmingly proud to have such great partners and professionals who work tirelessly to ensure your brews of choice are available at your locations of choice.

Cheers!
