Greetings,

Thanks to all who visited City Lights last week. The weather was glorious, the beer delicious, the patio idyllic, the entertainment magnificent, the food sumptuous, the hospitality welcoming and the vibe chill. All combined to propel us to our best week ever! We are overwhelmingly proud that during this busy summer festival season so many chose City Lights to spend time with family and friends.  Thank you.

“Tour de France” is currently underway in the mountains of France. Also underway is “Detour de City Lights” in the streets of Milwaukee. Crews are repairing the bridge on 25th Street over the Menomonee River. Access is as usual from 25th and St. Paul. Please follow detour signs if arriving from Canal Street. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2018/07/06/milwaukees-north-25th-street-bridge-over-menomonee-river-close/764884002/

International soccer returns to Milwaukee on Wednesday as Liga MX rivals Club Leon and Club Pachuca face off in a marquee match. Join us pre-game for a complimentary taco bar, live Mariachi music and complimentary shuttles to and from the game. Oh, the Mexican Lager will be cold and even more refreshing on Wednesday. Olé! Olé!

I just finished the book “Stockholm Syndrome.” It was terrible at first, but I really, really liked it by the end.

City Lights makes its debut Thursday at the Estabrook Beer Garden with a City Lights launch party! Join the pride and joy of City Lights, Alexandria, as she samples our Mosaic Pale Ale and answers all City Lights related questions.

After relaxing at Estabrook on Thursday, swing over to City Lights and catch the toe-tapping magic of “Swing and a Miss” from 6-9PM. https://swingandamiss1.com/  Bring your dancing shoes.

The City Light’s custom-built, commercial kitchen is scheduled to arrive this Friday. The unit was built to our exacting specifications and will allow Ben the Chef the opportunity to more fully display his culinary wizardry. An expanded menu will be available shortly, including the return of our signature weekend brunches.

This Friday evening, the Anne Davis Trio returns to the City Lights stage for an encore performance. Come and hear for yourself why Anne and clan are becoming a City Lights favorite. The night will be warm, the ambiance chill and the vibe awesome.

Jimmy the Brewmaster, Ryan, Mark and the entire brewing team are eagerly anticipating brewing next week when the three new fermenting tanks are operational. The doubling of our current capacity will ease the inventory challenges we have experienced. Thanks for your patience.

I love Saturdays at City Lights! It is an honor to personally greet and welcome so many of you. The greetings have become even more fun as so many are now arriving either on bicycles or at our convenient river-side dock. Undoubtedly, I have had to ramp up my greeting game a notch or three. It is with incredible joy that I have the privilege to welcome you - whether you arrive by foot, car, motorcycle, bicycle, kayak, canoe or boat.

Paddygrass https://www.paddygrass.com/ Saturday at 7PM. ‘Nuff said – their reputation precedes them as their music is over-the-top entertaining. Derek rules the cool school!

The City Lights team is out and about this weekend in Wisconsin, Chicago-land and Minnesota; pouring, sampling and spreading the City Lights’ love. “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” is the old-school version to “Where in the World are Jimmy and Andy Sampling This Weekend?” (Hint: This city's team will be the 2018 NFC North 2nd place finisher. #GoPack.)

Thanks to the greatest distribution network ever, City Lights’ beers are available at an ever-increasing network of stores, restaurants and bars!

Have the greatest week ever!
Robin
