City Lights will be a happening place this weekend.
The landscaping of our outdoor area has begun and the City Lights beer garden promises to be the place to see and been seen this summer. Is there a better way to celebrate life than to share a great beer with friends and loved ones in an idyllic setting with a gently rambling river providing a special ambiance and soft kisses from the sun providing warmth?
Thursday evening, our Milwaukee Brewers play at 7:10 and our newly tricked out shuttle bus will make its debut. We’re your pre-game destination if you love free parking, great beer and door-to-door service along with baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. And our shuttle bus is a Chevrolet!
Friday our special events team will be all over town pouring samples of delicious City Lights beers at your favorite retailer. Our shuttle bus will be in service Friday as the Brewers take on the Cardinals at 7:10. And our tasting room will be rocking with the after-work crowd celebrating another week in the books.
On Saturday, Jimmy the Brewmaster’s American Pale Ale will be released. And our always special “blessing of the beer” ceremony will be even more so! Plan on joining us at noon o’clock on Saturday and share in the excitement of the release as Pastor Dexter Trice blesses the beer with the accompaniment of his gospel choir, "The Voices of Faith." Can I get an “Amen?”
Saturday afternoon Andy the VP will commission our just-arrived Festival Tent at the Crafts and Drafts event at State Fair Park with proceeds benefitting the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
Saturday evening, the Brewers play the Cardinals at 6:10. We’re your “go to” to get to the game.
The ever-popular acoustic sounds of the Stage Hoggs will be rocking the City Lights tasting room with LIVE music starting at 8PM on Saturday. Evie and Chriz have an amazing harmonic synergy that you’ll love and their stage presence pairs well with a City Lights Pale Ale.
And join us Saturday evening for a celebratory beer after the Bucks beat the Raptors.
On Sunday, the Brewers play at 1:10 and our shuttle bus will be shuttling.
And on Sunday at 1, join us for an incredibly special event. City Lights Brewing Co. is partnering with k9pawtrol rescue co. and Central Bark Menomonee Valley to help you meet your next best friend! Adoptable dogs will be on site with their foster parents for you to meet/greet and hang out with. We will also be raffling off prizes and the money will go to K9 Pawtrol as well as a portion of the sales from the event. Hopefully it will be a “dog-gone” good time!
With all the special events taking place at City Lights, we haven’t forgotten our passion – brewing incredible beers for your enjoyment. Jimmy the Brewmaster and his team are brewing a Coconut Porter tomorrow. Mahalo!
