Greetings,
Last week I mentioned that I, for one, like Roman numerals. Based on the responses I received from our loyal City Lights enthusiasts, it is apparent that you, II, like Roman numerals.
An incredibly high percentage of readers click on the link to view the imagery of our progress captured photographically by Kris Hinrichs. I am not (yet) saying that Kris is to photography what Simone Biles is to gymnasts, what Diana was to royalty, what Cleopatra was to Pharaohs and what Gwen Jorgenson is to triathletes, but Kris is one of the best ever! Check out this week’s magic.

Random Beer Quotes:
"Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." -Dave Barry
"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -Benjamin Franklin
"He was a wise man who invented beer." -Plato
Each time I check out at a POS terminal, I feel slightly intellectually diminished as I’m swiping when I should be inserting and trying to insert when I should be swiping. Going forward, I am employing a new strategy to regain control - I am going old-school and writing checks.
Without a doubt, one of the marquee pieces of the completed project will be the building of the windows to exactly duplicate the 115 year old historical look and feel of the original windows. We are fortunate to be working with Adam, John Teske from Historic Woodworks and their hand-selected team of wood-working artists. The finished City Lights' windows will be our pride and joy and the envy of even Windows legend Bill Gates.
Jimmy the Brewmaster has an overwhelming passion to personally guarantee that the quality, taste and experience of each City Lights beer is unmatched, unique and celebrated. To emphasize and authenticate that the passion of the City Lights tap room experience will be second to none, Jimmy has personally restored the re-claimed 115 year-old tongue and grove wood planks into tap room tables that resonate with the history of the City Lights campus and share the plank of community that will unite us all.
Have the best Labor Day ever!
Cheers,
Robin
