Greetings,

Today we celebrate the first day of summer at City Lights Brewing Company. Stop by from 5-7PM and your first beer is free as we kick-off an exciting summer season. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share delicious beers and a warm ambiance with you and we will passionately and tirelessly work to continue to earn the privilege of your business.

Our Milwaukee Brewers continue their improbable run towards a World Series Championship with games tonight and Thursday afternoon. As always, The City Lights shuttle express will be happening.

Jimmy the Brewmaster and our Chief Innovation Officer Dr. David Ryder recently collaborated on the brewing of our Orange Wheat Ale. Jimmy is confident you will love it as he watches it ferment with the beaming pride of a parent.  And oh, the fun the brewing team is having with the pilot system! Our incredibly talented brewer Ryan will debut his innovative Cucumber Ale on our first “Firken Friday,” tentatively scheduled for 7/21.

Our Father’s Day brunch was so well received that we will be serving up all of Ben the Chef’s delicious creations again this Saturday and Sunday from 10AM to 2PM. Check out the mouth-watering goodness here: http://citylightsbrewing.com/brunch/ .

Live music has become a hit at City Lights and this weekend the beat goes on. (Thanks to Sonny and Cher.) Friday night from 7-10PM enjoy the rhythm, melody and harmony of Milwaukee-based pianist, vocalist and composer Anthony Deutsch: http://anthonydeutschmusic.com/

And Saturday, we ratchet the fun up a bit as we saddle up and giddy up. From 7-10PM, enjoy the boot-stomping sounds of Cowboy Up http://www.cowboyupcountry.com/ . Playing both current and classic country music, Cowboy Up’s crowd interaction makes the evening a party. But we’re going to start the party early! Style up with your favorite pair of cowboy boots, western shirt, cowboy hat, bolo tie or big belt buckle and receive $1.00 off your favorite City Lights beer – all day and all night.

And you think you got some rodeo skills, partner? Then you will have to try to “lasso the keg.” $5.00 gets you three attempts to lasso a City Lights keg. (And that $5.00 will be donated to Penfield Children’s Center: http://penfieldchildren.org/  to help them continue their magical work with children with developmental delays and disabilities.) If you are successful and lasso the keg, you will win a free beer of your choice and a free menu item of your choice.  So come on out, release your inner cowboy, lasso the keg and help Penfield help the children. We’re open untilmidnight on Saturday, and then it is time for you to skedaddle.

Yee-haw!
Robin
