Greetings,

Our “Festive Summer Indeed” celebration continues with daily promotions through Sunday. Tonight, your first City Lights Beer is $1.00 off. We’ll be shuttling to the Brewers’ game and if (when) the Brewers win, your first beer when you return will be $2.00 off.

Thursday Ben the Chef’s tasty creations are all $2.00 off. And is there a better way to welcome the weekend than with Live Music on Friday and a FREE growler with any fill? ADHD https://www.facebook.com/ADHD-blues-222128574588792/timeline/ takes to the stage at 7PM. You will enjoy their blues ranging from raw-dog-down-home-grit to swingin’ uptown pizzazz.

Saturday and Sunday all brunch items will be “buy one/get one free.” If you haven’t brunched at City Lights and enjoyed the delicious food, the idyllic scenery and the calming waters of the river, you haven’t brunched well.

Saturday night, Sugar Still http://sugarstill.com/ brings their whiskey-soaked harmonies and rollicking gypsy folk sounds to City Lights. Sugar Still is an acoustic duo and they recently released their 3rd album “Go.” The songwriting duo is made up of a conservatory trained violinist/vocalist and a roots blues guitarist and vocalist. Simply stated, they are incredible.

Though we don’t name our beers, if Jimmy the Brewmaster brewed a special Halloween beer we would release it in the summer and call it “Premature Jack-O-Lantern.”

There is an incredible array of entertainment and hospitality options in Milwaukee. The entire team at City Lights is profoundly proud that so many of you have chosen to spend time with us during this busy festival season. We will continue to work with a zealous passion to earn the privilege of your business.

And while we’re focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience at City Lights, the Beer Capitol team is tirelessly working to ensure your favorite City Lights beer is available at the location of your choice – whether it be your favorite tavern, liquor store, restaurant or grocery store. Thanks to Mike Merriman and his team of dedicated men and women with whom we are honored to call “partners.”

We do some special things at City Lights Brewing Company. Our tradition of the “blessing of the beer” is both unique and unifying as we have invited a cross-section of priests, pastors, ministers and rabbis to celebrate with us. Our “Lasso the Keg” fundraiser for Penfield Children’s Center was wildly successful and outrageously fun. Jimmy the Brewmaster’s upcoming “Firkin Friday” series promises to be “over-the-tap.” We’ve got a special Bluegrass Music festival planned for August 5th and we’ve got live music booked on weekends through Labor Day. But the promotion the City Lights’ team is really excited about occurs on July 22nd when we celebrate with our inaugural “Bridesmaid’s Brunch.” Our team will be stylin’ with their favorite bridesmaids’ dresses as they serve up a fantastic brunch and delicious brews. We will have special promotions and savings for our guests who arrive in a bridesmaid’s dress and even better ones for those with their hair in an “up-do.” And as brunch ends at 3PM, one lucky guest who catches the City Lights Bouquet will win a very special prize…..stay tuned.

The inventor of the yoyo recently passed away. The graveside service didn’t go as planned because each time they lowered the casket it rolled back up.

We couldn’t make all this great beer without an awesome network of suppliers and vendors. We are deeply grateful for our supply-side partners and proud to have them alongside on this incredible journey. And a special shout-out to our Board Chair, Bob Mikulay, as he celebrates his birthday week. Bob’s advice and counsel is invaluable and his friendship is cherished.

Cheers,

Robin
