This weekend, Milwaukee hosts the Air and Water Show. To commemorate this extravaganza, both air and water will be free for our City Lights guests all week long.
Many thanks to all who visited us during our recent “A Festive Summer Indeed” promotion. Unlike Summerfest which ended Sunday, our celebration continues. This weekend we feature an all-star acoustic line-up. Friday night, Chicago-based Linsea Moon Waugh https://www.linseamoonwaugh.com/ will thrill you with her vast repertoire, guitar picking wizardry and vocal wonderment. Saturday night, Milwaukee-based Derek Sallmann http://www.dereksallmann.com/ takes to the stage. Derek was a 2016 WAMI “Best New Artist” nominee and is destined for greatness. Check him out Saturday for free at City Lights. Soon he will be opening for national acts and then headlining. Let this be your “I was there when….night.”
We love our location in the Menomonee River Valley and we love being a part of the fabric which makes the Valley such a wonderful place to live, work and recreate. Mark your calendars for September 23rd for the most incredible running event of the millennium – The MVP Ultimate Beer Run. We are partnering with our good friends at Third Space Brewing https://thirdspacebrewing.com/ to raise funds for Menomonee Valley Partners www.renewthevalley.org. Menomonee Valley Partners (MVP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to revitalize the Menomonee Valley for the benefit of the entire Milwaukee community. Here is how the MVP Ultimate Beer Run (5kish) is going down: One half on the registrants will start at Third Space and run/walk to City Lights where they will be treated with a tantalizingly delicious freshly brewed beer. The other half of the registrants will start at City Lights and run/walk to Third Space where they will enjoy an amazingly refreshing freshly brewed beer. After savoring the goodness at the turn-a-around, each of the respective groups will return to their starting location and be rewarded with another beer. Wow – sounds like an over-the-top awesome time with cheek-bursting laughter. But wait, there’s more….in addition to the running time of your life and two incredible, complimentary beers, each contestant will receive a fashion forward event T-shirt and the satisfaction of knowing that all net proceeds will benefit Menomonee Valley Partners. I may be biased and think our brunch is incredible. Even I was somewhat startled when a guest told me that our City Lights Eggs Benedict were the second best he has ever had in his life!The legendary Brennans in New Orleans was his favorite. Brunch at City Lights is a true treat - we begin serving deliciousness Saturdays and Sunday at 10AM. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
Jimmy the Brewmaster and Our Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. David Ryder, collaborated on our recently released “Orange Wheat Ale.” Can you guess which of our nine incredible beers on tap in our tasting room is our best seller? Even “non-wheat beerers” love our Orange Wheat Ale.
