Greetings,

Jimmy the Brewmaster’s brilliant description of his Double Hazy IPA is almost as classic as Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven”: “In this beer we have added various malts. We also used water. We added various styles of hops in various amounts at various times during the brewing process. We used yeast. The resulting product is what is inside of this can. Please enjoy responsibly.” This limited edition, sure-to-be-gone soon will be released in 4-pack 16-ounce cans beginning Saturday at 11AM and will be available in the taproom.

Jimmy the Brewmaster’s Hazy IPA has earned a 96-point rating, a “Superlative” designation and a Platinum Medal. City Lights Hazy IPA was rated by tastings.com as the #1 IPA in the world and was their 11th highest rated beer in the last five years: http://www.tastings.com/Beer-Review/City-Lights-Brewing-Co-Hazy-IPA-USA-05-02-2019.aspx. Could his Double Ditty be twice as good?

Edgar Allen Poe’s classic poem was the inspiration for the art featured on the can of “Double Ditty.” The incredibly talented artist who executed Jimmy’s vision for the can art will be on-hand Saturday selling prints of the art. Check out: https://www.facebook.com/EvelynFinArt/ .

Ben the Chef has concocted a delicious tribute to pair with Jimmy’s Double Hazy IPA: a Poe Boy Sandwich! Inspired by Poe’s native Bostonian roots, this tasty open-faced poe boy is filled with tender roast beef, fresh provolone cheese, sautéed onions, roasted garlic horseradish aioli and topped with Boston baked beans. Available Saturday only. $12 with your choice of side.

Today’s baseball game is early – first pitch is at 1:10PM. We’ll be opening at 9AM for our thirsty and hungry friends. A delicious City Lights beer, lunch and the shuttle is the perfect trifecta to celebrate the day. After the games ends, the patio will be the coolest place in town to chill.

Friday Fish Fries and baseball go (pun intended) hand-in-glove. We open at 11AM on Friday and Benny and the Chefs will be on deck and ready to go to bat for your dining pleasure. After lunch, stay and watch the US Women’s team take on France in the World Cup Round of Eight. After the soccer match it is baseball time! Our guests love the convenience of our complimentary shuttles to baseball home games. With free parking and a short five-minute ride to the front gate, the City Lights shuttle is a great way to check out America’s pastime. First pitch is 7:10PM on Friday.

Did I mention that we open at 11AM Saturday for the release of Double Ditty? The day continues to be double special with a musical double header. Pat McCurdy takes to the stage at 4PM for a special pre-game concert. After Pat and the ballgame crowd leaves, the acoustic duo of Eric and Max perform for your listening enjoyment at 7PM.
