Greetings,
What a day today will be! Ben the Chef is preparing a special menu for this evening’s Fat Tuesday festivities. I had the privilege of sampling his Nawlin’s inspired menu – Laissez les bon temps rouler! His jambalaya is magnifique and the catfish po-boys will inspire shouts of “Who dat? Who dat?” And the perfect lagniappe will be a free paczki with the purchase of a pint in the taproom (while supplies last.) There will be beads, bands and beers!
Ash Wednesday is tomorrow. Though possible morally conflicting, happy hour prices will be served up from 3-6PM. And our special fish fry will be served every Wednesday and Friday throughout Lent.
Jimmy the Brewmaster and the brewing team celebrated their second International Gold Medal with a record week of brewing and production. The tanks are full and as soon as the beer is ready it is packaged and shipped. I am awed by the passion, zeal, attention to detail and laser-focus on quality that permeates the brewing team and results in International Gold Medals.
St. Patty’s Day is coming up and our Irish Red Ale is on tap and packaged at accounts. This Saturday, Irish-folk bad Blackthorn Folly http://blackthornfollyband.com/ takes to the stage at 7PM. The Trinity Irish Dancers will open the show. Get your toes ready to tap and your spirits ready to soar!
A special thanks to the men and women who tirelessly work to sell, deliver and merchandise City Lights beers and make sure your favorite beverage is available at your preferred bar, restaurant or retail store. Cheers to the best distributors ever! And we are grateful for our on-premise and retail partners who feature City Lights on draft and in cans. We are profoundly proud and thankful for the opportunity to work together and make City Lights' beers available to an ever-growing circle of brand enthusiasts.
Have the best week when Daylight Savings arrives ever!
Robin
