Greetings,

Jimmy the Brewmaster continues to amaze me with his brewing artisan wizardry. Check out this week’s Firkin Friday release – Smores. Made with the base beer of City Lights Coconut Porter; Jimmy added cacao nibs, graham crackers, and marshmallow fluff right into the firkin for a delectable liquid treat. It would be ideal to savor this fireside in the beer garden, but the firkin is sure to sell out before the sun goes down.

Last night I went to a comedy and philosophy convention. Laughed more than I thought.

There is always something exciting happening at City Lights Brewing Company. Friday night the incredible Ethan Keller www.ethankeller.com takes center stage. Saturday, come for brunch and stay for the most energetic performance you will see all summer as Mas Soul www.facebook.com/massoulsound rocks the valley with their unique blend of jazz, fusion, Latin, reggae and pop.

Help the Brewers get their Mojo Back! This Friday, Saturday and Sunday all beers will be $1.00 off for one hour before game time and $2.00 off for two hours after the final out. The shuttle service is running all weekend and the tailgate menu will be sizzling.

Register today for the MVP Ultimate Beer Run to raise funds for Menomonee Valley Partners www.renewthevalley.org . September 23 is going to be the running event of the millennium! Great beers. Great breweries. Great people. Great swag. Check it out here: https://endurance.active.com/CityLightsBrewingCompany0#/active/endurance/event/setup/eventSummary?e=46468353&_nid=12127473

The future, the present and the past walked into City Lights over the weekend. Things got a little tense.

There is an incredible array of entertainment and hospitality options in Milwaukee. The entire team at City Lights is profoundly proud that so many of you have chosen to spend time with us during this busy summer season. We will continue to work with a zealous passion to earn the privilege of your business.

And while we’re focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience at City Lights, the Beer Capitol team is tirelessly working to ensure your favorite City Lights beer is available at the location of your choice – whether it be your favorite tavern, liquor store, restaurant or grocery store. Thanks to Mike Merriman and his team of dedicated men and women with whom we are honored to call “partners.” And due to their amazing efforts, you will be able to enjoy City Lights at many Wisconsin State Fair venues beginning next week! Prost!

We are planning an amazing Octoberfest celebration. Details to follow, but accordion to my experiences so far, the time to book polka bands can be both compressed and expanded. Zum Wohl!

We hope to have the honor of serving you a delicious City Lights beer soon.

Cheers,
Robin
