Greetings,

Jimmy the Brewmaster promises that his wildly popular Hazy IPA will be available in the taproom this weekend and in retail stores shortly thereafter. Jimmy has brewed some incredible beers with an ever-growing following. Hazy IPA is launching into the rarified air occupied by Coconut Porter and Mexican Lager.

“Siri,” I said, “Surely tell me that it won’t rain today.” “It will rain,” she replied, “and don’t call me Shirley.” I guess I left my phone in “rplane" mode.

It is time for our annual “Master the Masters” contest. E-mail me the names of three golfers who you think will be in the green jacket competition. First place is awarded nine points. Second place is awarded 6 points and third place is awarded 5 points. So, for example, if you picked the winner and missed second and third place, you would stand at nine points. But if another entrant picked the golfers who placed second and third, she would total 11 points and win. First prize is a $250 City Lights gift card. Second place wins a set of steak knives.

The City Lights brand ambassadors will be out and about this weekend. Meet Chelsea pouring samples at “Oyster Fest” at the Milwaukee Public Market tonight. Anna will be at Discount Liquors in Milwaukee on Friday. If you miss Anna on Friday, you can catch her Saturday at “Stein and Dine” at the Wisconsin State Fair. On Saturday, Jamie will be in Madison at Total Wine and Alex will be rocking the Minnesota Craft Beer Festival. Tim will be sharing the City Lights goodness at Otto’s in Cedarburg. Come on out and sample some of the finest beers you will ever taste and see the nicest people you will ever meet.

If you are planning your mid-range schedule, here are the highpoints to calendar in. Ben’s famous fish fry will be served all day Friday. Saturday, we have a morning yoga session upstairs, followed by a complimentary beer for each participant and delicious eats in the taproom. (City Lights might have the coolest yoga vibe ever.) Saturday evening, City Lights favorite Nick Rincon https://www.facebook.com/nickrinconmusic/ takes to the stage.

Sunday starts a big week off with the Masters’ watching party and a City Lights Bonus. If Ricky Fowler wins the tournament, all guests in the house win a free Fowler-Growler fill of their choice! The hometown nine is back at the ballpark for a long homestand with games beginning on Tax Day and continuing throughout the week. Saturday night, the shuttle will be shuttling and Jamie Lynn Music https://www.jamielynnmusic.com/ will play and sing her heart out for you. We will open early Easter Sunday and, of course, running the shuttle to the ballpark.

And yes, we will be shuttling to the Billy Joel concert!

I was interviewing a candidate and we were talking about how technology has changed the workforce. I asked her to give me an example of jobs that weren’t around anymore. “Steve,” she answered. She starts Monday.

A special thanks to our entire distribution team who work tirelessly and passionately to ensure your favorite City Lights beers are available at the retail locations, bars, restaurants and special event venues so you can enjoy City Lights responsibly in the manner of your choice. And a sincere “thank you” to our retail and on-premise accounts for the privilege of your business.

DJ. Rickie. Rory.
